Minutes of the Oak Terrace Improvement Association Board-May 6, 2015
The meeting was called to order by President Greg Denny at 7:03pm.
Board members present-Greg Denny, Kevin Shifley, Jim Loring, Al Johnsonbaugh, Ramona Triebold, Dan Griffin, Krissy Snyder, William Yarbrough, and Colleen Hodges. No members at large were present.
The reading of the minutes was waived.
Treasurer’s Report- Dan reported a balance of $36,343.16 in all accounts. At this time, we have about 50 properties that have not paid dues for 2015. .
Legal-Arrangements for monthly payments of delinquent dues and fees have been made for one property. We have 4-5 units who have received 30 day letters and 2 properties for which we are expecting payment.
Parks-We have set up an account with U-Line for new 55 gallon drums, lids, and sign posts. The posts are for “No Parking” signs. We will contract Signs Now for “Beach Closed” signs for times when the water has been deemed unsafe for swimming. Dave Garcia will be contacted about installing the posts. We have contracted with DG Hardscapes for this year’s park maintenance.
Restoration Areas-Stakes will be placed at Hansen Park to delineate the wetlands/restoration area from the park proper.
Website-Krissy is having problems with uploading to the site. Greg will reach out to Julie Dickey for consultation. A new email account has been set up for the subdivision. The address is [email protected]
Krissy would like future issues of The Acorn to be delivered through email. There was discussion of asking residents to supply email addresses for this purpose. There may be a few of our older residents unable to use this method and copies could be printed for them. For inclusion in the next Acorn-
Request for volunteers for the annual Summerfest which will be held August 8th. Summerfest-Kevin has volunteered to coordinate rentals for the event and contact the caterer used last year. Further volunteers are needed for: set up clean up fishing derby setting up face painting and balloon artist regatta entertainment The cardboard boat regatta will be held at 2:00. Specific serving times for food will be established with the grill available throughout the event for people to use, if desired. It was suggested we have a water balloon launch also. More discussion to follow.
Ramona reported that the Easter Parade and Egg Hunt went very well. There being no further business, William made a motion to adjourn. Krissy seconded. The meeting adjourned at 8:49pm. Respectfully submitted-Colleen Hodges OTIA Secretary
