Oak Terrace is a Golf Cart Community.

Golf carts driven on Oak Terrace roads must adhere to the Illinois Vehicle Code, as outlined in the Township Ordinance, which among other things includes the cart having headlights, tail lights, break lights, turn signals and a “Slow Moving” emblem on the back. The driver must have a valid license and proper insurance. If you intend to drive a golf cart in our community, please become familiar with the rules. Click here to access the Ordinance. At no time can parked carts block the boat launch at Beach Park, which is used by members – and emergency teams who may need to perform rescues or training on the lake.
