Summerfest-Dina reported that everything worked out well with Summerfest and that it came in under budget. The raffle raised $130 towards expenses.
Lake Issues-Tracy and Greg reported on the last meeting of the Diamond Lake Preservation Alliance. The company Hay & Associates presented their lake management plan at the meeting. MPRD commissioned the company to prepare a comprehensive plan for improving and maintaining the healthof the lake. They suggested the type of chemicals needed to deal with invasive species, harvestingpersistent weed growth, and treating closer to the docks. We will need to address increased costs for lake care during the budget meeting. A copy of the Lake Management Plant is available for viewing atDiamondLake.il.com.
Parks-Two “No Yard Waste” signs at Lakeview Park have been installed. The lake weed cans become too heavy for our landscapers to move. It was suggested we find an area designated for the drying ofthe weeds before placing in the cans. The bulletin board at the beach is still too high. Al will ask Dave Garcia to lower it. We will be requesting three bids for the completion of the fence along the west side of Beach Park. Dave Garcia has quoted $940 to pull the bushes and remove the waste. These bids will be presented at the November meeting for the general membership’s consideration. We will look more closely at the proposed plan of placing a split-rail fence at Hansen Park.
Pier Policy Committee-The form for pier rental is available on the Oak Terrace website. Residents should print the form, fill it out, and mail it in with dues.
There being no further business before the Board, William made a motion to adjourn. It was seconded by Jim and passed. The meeting was adjourned at 8:03pm
